Signaren by Oloren
Free Consent Mode checker

Check what your website tells Google.

Signaren opens your page in a real browser as a first-time visitor and shows whether Google Consent Mode v2 is set up, what the Google tags send before consent, and what changes after accepting. No sign-up, about 30 seconds.

We only check public pages. The result is kept for no longer than 15 minutes.

What we check

Three things that affect your ads.

1

The four signals

ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization: whether they are set, and whether they start as denied.

2

What goes out before the choice

How many Google requests leave before the visitor has decided, and which state they report in the gcs parameter.

3

What changes after accepting

We accept the banner and check whether the signals switch to granted.

Why it matters

Without Consent Mode, Google sees less.

In the European Economic Area, since March 2024 Google uses the Consent Mode v2 signals to decide what visitor data it may use for ads and measurement. If the signals are missing or set up wrongly, remarketing audiences and conversion tracking can suffer.

Want to check cookies too?

Crumbren lists the cookies that land on the visitor’s device before consent.

Do you store the address I check?

The result is kept for 15 minutes so the same address does not have to be checked again, then it is deleted. We only check publicly available pages.

Why does it check only one page?

The checker looks at the first load of one page, as a visitor from the EU. Cookieren’s scanner checks the whole website regularly.

Who made it?

Oloren, the maker of the Cookieren cookie banner.
